Can I submit 14 back-to-back pages as my entry?

No, each entry is limited to 14 pages (14 single-sided pages or 7 back-to-back pages). A cover page is excluded from the page count.

Can students work on the project in teams?

Yes, the PAVE Student Design competition can be completed individually or as a team. Team entries may not exceed two students.

Can graduate students participate in the competition?

No, the competition is not open to graduate students.

Does the entry have to be postmarked before November 1st, 2018?

Your physical entry must be received at the listed address indicated in the brief before 5 pm November 1st. Any entries that arrive after November 1st are considered late.

Are there any files we can download? Like a floor plan for Home Depot or their logos and graphic?

No, CAD files of the floorplan are not available. You are only responsible for designing to the footprint size of the challenge(s).Please review page 13 of the brief for color, fonts, theme lines and logos.

Are we designing the whole Home Depot store?

No, you are NOT required to design the entire Home Depot store but instead will be designing 2-3 mini challenges within the store environment.The list of challenges to choose from can be found on page 3 of the brief.

How large is the area we are designing?

Challenges that include an area outside of the aisle should take up an area no more than 476 sq.ft or an area of 26 feet by 18 feet 3 inches

Yes, you may design more than 3 challenges.However, we ask that you limit to 5 or less.

Using the thumb drive/USB port, can we include our design progress/research in a different file from the final PDF?
