Position Overview:

CallisonRTKL seeks an Architect to join its Commercial practice area located in Seattle, WA. This position collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem-solving. The position is focused on mid-to-large scale and retail mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, detailed-oriented, and a self-starting individual driven to succeed.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists with design and construction document preparation

  • Revises drawings and provides design solutions for project elements

  • Conducts research for the project team

  • Produces graphic presentations

  • Performs calculations and basic analytical tasks

  • Represents the project or practice as the primary contact for client interaction

  • Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations

  • Ensures work meets clients’ requirements, is timely, and completed within budget

  • Manages the work of architecture and interior design staff that complete design or production work, and construction documents

  • Provides technical guidance to junior staff

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field

  • Master's degree preferred

  • 6+ years of Architecture experience working on commercial projects preferred

  • Strong Revit skills throughout all phases of DD, CD, and CA

  • Strong knowledge of 3D modeling software including Sketch-Up and Rhino

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Ability to translate sketches into 3D drawings

  • Strong design and presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects

  • Maintains effective communication with project team members

  • Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships

  • Professional registration preferred

  • LEED accreditation preferred
