Hollywood, Fla. (May 7, 2024)— PAVE Global, in partnership with Studio Lourdes, proudly announces the launch of the inaugural PAVE Gala T-Shirt Design Challenge. Open to esteemed design students, this challenge aims to celebrate creativity, community, and the power of design in fostering connections.
In 2023, PAVE Global introduced the concept of a commemorative PAVE Gala T-shirt to honor students and provide additional financial support for the next generation of design leaders. This year, the organization invites design students to bring their unique perspectives to the table and design the official T-shirt for the 2024 PAVE Gala.
With the theme "PAVE CONNECTS," participants are challenged to graphically explore the interconnectedness of the design community and its partners. Submissions should reflect on how the industry fosters collaboration and builds bridges between people and brands.
"We're thrilled to launch the PAVE Gala T-Shirt Design Challenge in partnership with Studio Lourdes," said Dash Nagel, Executive Director at PAVE Global. "This challenge not only celebrates the creativity of design students but also highlights the importance of connectivity within our industry."
Entries must be submitted by Friday, September 6, 2024, by 11:59 PM Eastern Time, through the Submittable platform. Judging will be conducted virtually, with winners selected by both the PAVE Community and a team made up of PAVE’s Board of Directors and representatives from Studio Lourdes.
Two winners will be chosen, each receiving a prize of $1,000. Additionally, the winning designs will be available for purchase ahead of the PAVE Gala, with all proceeds supporting future PAVE Scholarships. T-shirts will be produced on-demand, using an eco-friendly Direct-to-Garment printing process.
Eligibility guidelines require participants to be currently enrolled in a 2 to 4-year program at a university, college, or technical school in North America. Submissions must adhere to specific requirements outlined by PAVE on the challenge website, including print file size, format, resolution, and color profile.
"We encourage students from diverse design backgrounds to participate and showcase their talent," said Christina Magrans, Founder at Studio Lourdes. "This challenge offers a platform for emerging designers to gain recognition and contribute to a meaningful cause."
