Position Overview
The emphasis of this position is the ability to maximize creative skills towards new and innovative product design and development with the utmost efficiency independently or in collaboration for brands and retailers.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Design innovative fixtures, displays, and POP material. Direct others for the execution of mechanical drawings that incorporate all design intent and function.
Research products and their availability as well as staying abreast of new trends in the industry.
Utilize all mediums to best present ideas such as Sketching, Rendering full-color layout illustration (marker or pencil), AutoCAD, 3D Max, and 3-D Models/Mock-ups.
Select materials and finishes for displays and fixtures.
Create presentations in PowerPoint, Mounted Boards, PDF Files or other Medium and prepares material boards to accompany printed designs as well as preparing page layouts/artwork for all appropriate marketing materials.
Verify production feasibility and construction methods with the manufacturing plant and make any necessary adjustments.
Give direction to others for mechanical drawings.
Give direction to others for manufacturing of samples.
Practical use and knowledge of these listed programs: Adobe, Autodesk Products, Corel Products, MS Products
Publicly present design concepts effectively and professionally to clients, upper management, and sales.
Qualifications
Top understanding of industry trends, creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite………)
Hands-on experience in the creative process, design, marketing, graphic design and brand development
Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, 3D Max, etc.
Outstanding leadership and organization skills
Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities
BS/BA in fine art, design, or relevant field; MSc/MA will be considered an asset or previous experience.
