Position Overview

The Global Sourcing Coordinator/Sales Assistant must be a highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and driven individual to assist in organizing and driving multiple, high-profile, concurrent projects. This position must take ownership of and successfully deliver on all assigned projects, accurately and on time.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the sourcing of material (material substitutes) both domestically and internationally.

  • Staying in constant contact with an assigned sales associate, retrieving meeting details, new project details, sample requests, price requests, and material data requests, immediately taking the necessary steps to input all pertinent information into the system, organize and update project folder, and gather all of the requested information and samples to fill the clients request promptly.

  • Enter new client information into the system, along with new prospect projects, transmittals & sample requests.

  • Prepare system-generated quotations, order confirmations, purchase orders, change orders & invoices for both domestic and international customers & suppliers.

  • Assist with and follow up on orders placed with vendors, coordinate and track factory production schedule, dates of availability, quality control, and vessel schedules.

  • Expedite delivery of material, preparing and utilizing packing lists, pick tickets, bills of lading, and proof of deliveries.

  • Develop and drive processes to proactively generate and maintain project status reports, keeping client up to date on the status of their order(s).

  • Assist with the execution of extensive quality assurance procedures, ensuring the product meets/exceeds customer expectations.

  • Create Project specific presentations

  • Continuously enhance process efficiencies, reducing time and resource requirements.

  • Participate in client meetings when needed, taking thorough notes

 

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

  • Powerpoint experience and Presentation skills are a must.

  • Photoshop interior renderings & Photoshop are a must.

  • Working knowledge of Rhino, Planswift, and/or AutoCAD.

  • Interior Design knowledge/experience is important.

  • Architectural Surface material knowledge is a plus.

  • Creative thinker, problem solver, and solutions designer.

  • Capable of managing multiple, time-sensitive, high-pressure tasks, independently.

  • Aptitude to pay close, never-ending attention to details.

  • Superb organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong, comprehensive listening skills.

  • Exceptional Customer Service skills.

  • Focused team player with a solid, consistent work ethic, exhibiting purely professional behaviors.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60 - $65

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, AFLC & 401K plan; Paid vacation and Personal time
