This role is located primarily at our Kittery, Maine studio (an hour north of Boston and 45 minutes south of Portland, ME), with a hybrid remote/in-office model.

Position Overview
As an Interior Environments Designer, you will be an essential part of the integrated design process, working under the direction of the Principal/CEO and Principal Architect, and partnering closely with architecture and design teams on a variety of commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate has experience integrating branding, architecture, and experiential graphic design to create a comprehensive interior environments experience.
Responsibilities
Combine your technical know-how, creativity, and keen focus on user needs and client goals to produce beautiful and functional interior environments
Assist clients with the decision-making process, track decisions, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and other vendors
Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and drawings
Draft designs for interior environments projects, including schematic design tasks and design development; support larger architecture projects as needed
Lead interior programming efforts such as space planning, layout, and utilization of furnishings
Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, color palettes, and lighting within the clients' budget, while supporting our efforts to reduce environmental impact through the recommendation and use of sustainable materials
Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
Support business development activities through assistance with aids such as finish boards or presentations
Consistently apply established interior environments design standards
Partner with colleagues to maintain resource materials, sample library
Qualifications
2+ years of Interior Environments Design experience (commercial experience is a plus)
Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking/modeling and graphic presentation skills
Experience in Design, AutoCAD Architecture, Sketchup, Revit, and Construction Documents
Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design)
Knowledge of materials and construction techniques
Strong knowledge of the design process
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Strong organization, collaboration, communication, and relationship management skills

Compensation & Benefits
$65,000- $80,000 a year, depending on experience
