Hollywood, Fla. (September 12, 2023)— In celebration of its 30th Anniversary, PAVE Global is pleased to announce the launch of an all-new opportunity for students- Inspired by Design: PAVE Student Visionary Award. This award recognizes and honors emerging student visionaries who are expected to revolutionize the industry with their innovative ideas and designs, making a positive impact on the world.
“Opportunities such as the PAVE Inspired by Design Award are just one of the many programs, we have created to reward deserving students interested in pursuing a career in the design industry. We hope this program continues to serve as a stepping stone to assist students in having a long and successful career in the design field,” said Dash Nagel, PAVE Global’s Executive Director. “We look forward to celebrating the three finalists at the annual PAVE Gala this December in New York City”
Current undergraduate and graduate-level design, architecture, and visual merchandising students are invited to participate by submitting a series of boards that showcase one of the provided design topics - Human and Community Connection, Sustainability, Cultural Awareness/DEI, Universal Design, or Educational Innovations. The boards should feature a pre-existing project of your own that embodies the chosen topic with answers to the questions provided.
All submissions will be reviewed anonymously by a group of industry professionals. The panel will select three visionary students as finalists, each of whom will receive a $7,500 cash prize. The 2023 Inspired by Design: PAVE Student Visionary Award Honorees will be recognized on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the PAVE Gala in New York City, with travel and expenses covered. Additionally, $1,000 grants will be awarded to each of the finalist's schools, departments, or educators to cover the travel expenses for attending the 2023 PAVE Gala with the student.
