Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCad and/or Revit as specified by the client and Ædifica account leader.
Support the design and production team on projects of various sizes and complexities.
Communicate information effectively and regularly to the team and other stakeholders including technicians, designers, engineers and suppliers, in terms of client expectations as to design concept, work plan, company commitments (financial and otherwise), as well as progress made on these matters, to ensure the team has a common understanding of objectives.
Monitor technicians and designers for compliance with the documents’ technical and design requirements to ensure the work meets the highest quality standards and reinforces our competitive edge.
Adhere to the office’s AutoCAD/Revit standards and features specific to each client. Make recommendations to the Senior Technician on areas for improvement.
Execute site survey and site visit during construction as required per project mandate.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or design (or relevant experience)
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position
Understanding of issues specific to retail, an asset
Knowledge of Construction Code and regulations
Knowledge of Office suite, and specifically MS Excel and MS Project
AutoCAD and Revit required
Excellent interpersonal skills
Solid decision-making skills, good priority management and stress management.
Discipline, good synthesis and analytical skills, adaptable and flexible
Available to travel as required
