MG2 is seeking a talented Senior Project Designer to join our New York City office in our Consumer Experiences Market!

You will be working in our Consumer Experiences (CX) Market, where you will have the opportunity to design and deliver on various types of fast-moving retail and Food & Beverage projects that anticipate the needs and lifestyle shifts of evolving users.


As a leader in our Consumer Experiences Market, the Senior Project Designer will lead teams and clients in a variety of project types. In this role, the Senior Project Designer will work in multi-disciplinary teams, leading and soliciting contributions from all levels of expertise. The Senior Project Designer should inspire design thinking and technical excellence, serving as a role model and leader for other team members. Project types may include retail, food & beverage, and entertainment projects.


Responsibilities
  • Leads clients and team through the entire or partial process of Concept, Schematic, and Design Development

  • Develops project design intent and goals for successful implementation

  • Leads design presentations to clients and government authorities, including connecting retail principals to consumer behaviors and business objectives

  • Works closely with Market Principals and Firm Leaders

  • Serves as a mentor to junior designers and contributes to their growth and development

  • Supports marketing and business development activities

  • Candidate should be available for domestic and international travel, as needed


Qualifications
  • Bachelors/Masters in Architecture

  • Architectural licensure is preferred

  • 10+ years of retail design experience

  • Experienced with retail, FB&E trends, research and industry

  • Ability to express concept via computer-generated visuals or hand-sketching

  • Strong conceptual and schematic design skills

  • Strong verbal presentation skills and proven ability to sell ideas

  • Ability to lead specifications of materiality

  • Ability to translate concept through technical application in partnership with architectural teams

  • Proficient in 2D/3D software, including AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Powerpoint.

  • Revit a plus

  • Is Collaborative Builds bridges with teams across offices Is an intentional listener and constantly curious

National Salary Ranges:

Senior Project Designer: $100,000 - $153,000
