Position Overview
A Visual Merchandiser works with ZenGenius’s clients to support a variety of visual merchandising projects located in the field or at their Corporate Offices. Please note that hours may fluctuate weekly, as this is part-time work.
Applicants are to be based out of Boston, MA, or Providence, RI area.
Responsibilities
Awareness of industry trends and emerging merchandising strategies
Execute product placement according to the client’s visual merchandising standards
Participate in company floor sets and walk-through preparation
Install exciting visual presentations and product displays
Dress and style mannequins and bust forms
Hang and install signs and displays by use of hand and power tools
Vinyl installations
Understand the client's vision by installing displays that depict their style and message
Identify and source mannequins, props, fixtures, and signage
Ensure all products and decor are handled properly and the workspace is kept clean and functional at all times
Must demonstrate an eye for detail
Understand the client’s vision and follow instructions
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent
3+ years of retail experience with visual merchandising as a key focus
Ability to work in a freelance capacity, and be comfortable with a schedule that varies weekly
Ability to travel including overnights as needed
Flexibility to include evenings, weekends, and long hours to meet the demands of business
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Superior visual merchandising expertise
Handle, carry and dress mannequins
Creative thinker
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Communicates timely and effectively, both verbal and written
Ability to listen and follow directions
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder and stand for extended periods, including repetitive use of upper extremities
