VMSD Scholarship + Experience Returns for Fourth Year

Hollywood, Fla, July 31, 2024 - PAVE Global, in partnership with VMSD and SmartWork Media, is thrilled to announce the launch of the 4th annual VMSD Scholarship + Experience for 2024. This prestigious program continues to recognize and support leadership potential in students pursuing careers in retail environments and consumer experiences.

The 2024 VMSD Scholarship + Experience offers an exceptional opportunity for one talented student. The recipient will receive a $1,500 scholarship plus an invitation to attend the 2024 International Retail Design Conference (IRDC) in Kansas City, MO, this October. The total prize package, valued at $4,500, includes the scholarship, airfare, hotel accommodations, daily per diem, and registration for the conference.

Murray Kasmenn, Publisher of VMSD and Executive Director of the Shop! Association, emphasized the importance of this initiative: "VMSD is proud to present another scholarship opportunity for students focusing on a career related to retail and store design. It is critical to invest in the talent that will drive the future of our dynamic industry. We look forward to watching these burgeoning thought-leaders grow, and best of luck to all our entrants."

The scholarship is open to 3rd and 4th-year undergraduate students, as well as graduate students of any year, enrolled in programs such as Interior Design, Retail Design, Hospitality Design, Visual Merchandising, Architecture, UX Design, Engineering, and Product Design. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be studying within the United States or Canada.

Carly Hagedon, Editor-in-Chief of VMSD magazine and Co-Chair of the International Retail Design Conference, added: "Our publication is honored to be able to support the students of our unique industry through this annual scholarship. It's imperative to foster the professional growth of these soon-to-be rising stars, who will drive retail and store design forward through their future endeavors. VMSD is humbled to be part of this mission."

The PAVE Scholarship Program, now in its fourteenth year, has awarded over $216,000 in grants and scholarships to students in the past five years. This program plays a crucial role in ensuring a future talent pool for the consumer environments industry by providing financial assistance to promising students.

Interested students are encouraged to submit their applications, including a personal statement, portfolio, professional reference, and current transcript, through Submittable.
